Tasty Thursday! {Cooking Post}

Pizza. Who doesn't love pizza?! Here is an amazing homemade pizza recipe that my husband and I absolutely heart. It takes an ordinary pizza and gives it a buttery, flaky goodness. Health conscious, this is not, deliciousness sometimes comes at a cost, but totally worth it in this case. Enjoy!

Serves: 2-4 (We usually finish all of it in one sitting between the two of us. ;-))
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 15-17 minutes

Ingredients
-1 can of buttery crescent rolls (I recommend Pillsbury... they are my fav!)
-2 cups of mozzarella shredded cheese
-1 package of pepperoni slices (3.5 oz)
-1/2 pound of hot ground sausage
-2 cups of tomato sauce

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Brown the hot sausage on the stove top in a non-stick pan. Once cooked, put the sausage aside in a bowl.

Step 2: Spray the cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray. Unroll the crescent rolls on to a cookie sheet. I usually split the dough into two pieces for two personal pan pizzas. Pinch the dough together wherever it looks as though it may split, this will help to keep it in one piece.

Step 3: Spoon the tomato sauce evenly over the two personal pizzas. Then add the pepperoni, sausage & mozzarella toppings. Personally, I love layering the cheese under & on top of the sausage & pepperoni, but I am of the belief system of more cheese, better pizza.

Step 3: Bake the pizzas for 15-17 minutes-- it is best to keep an eye them-- depending on the amount of toppings you added. You're looking for the crust and cheese to brown.

Step 4: Eat!! I love to mix ranch dressing and Sriracha hot sauce as a dipping sauce for the side, so yummy!
Enjoy!
