Emmys- Best & Worst Dressed

Let's just say the only thing the Emmys had to offer last weekend was the fashion. The show definitely gave off a solemn vibe and definitely did not live up to previous years' Emmys. Thank goodness there is always fashion at these awards shows! So without further ado, here are my top 5 favorite and my not-so-favorite red carpet looks.

Let's start with the bad news...

Julianne Hough in Jenny Packham

This Jenny Packham dress is not fitted to Julianne Hough at all. She has an amazing body and this dress is not doing anything to flatter her.

January Jones in Givenchy

January Jones looks very washed out in this Givenchy dress. Normally I love the choices she makes for the red carpet, this one just makes me think of lace doilies.

Connie Britton in Naeem Khan

When I look at Connie Britton in this Naeem Khan, it kind of  makes me think of a velvet oriental carpet. Not loving this.

Mayim Bialik in Oliver Tolentino

This Oliver Tolentino on Mayim Bialik reminds me of Christmas garland. I don't think that is the look she was going for.

Aubrey Plaza in Marios Schwab

Aubrey Plaza looks very confined in this Marios Schwab dress. The black lace detail along the shoulder reminds me of suspenders, not a red carpet accessory. 

And the award goes to...

Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang and Lorraine Schwartz

 Sofia Vergara looks incredible in this red gown by Vera Wang, it hugs her in all the right places. The statement earrings by Lorraine Schwartz are just the icing on the cake, perfection.

Tina Fey in Narciso Rodriguez

 Tina Fey looks gorgeous in this Narciso Rodriguez gown, it fits her like a glove and the color is enchantingly beautiful.

Michelle Dockery in Prada

I love this Prada gown on Michelle Dockery. The halter with the open back combined with the flowing skirt are so elegant. The color-blocking reds make this a truly noteworthy selection.

Claire Danes in Armani Privé

Claire Danes looks so glam in her Armani Privé. I love everything about this, the red lips, hair and the way this gown looks on her petite frame.

Allison Williams in Ralph Lauren

Allison Williams looks stunning in this vibrant blue dress by Ralph Lauren. Allison always seems to dress to impress.
