Taste of Philly.

Here is the perfect meal for a cold winter day. Trust me on this one.

Ingredients:

1 Pound of New York strip steak cut thin (you can use other cuts as well)

1 ½ cups of American cheese

1 tablespoon of Ranch

3 tablespoons of Olive oil

1 tablespoon of butter

½ teaspoon of black pepper

½ teaspoon of paprika

½ teaspoon of chili pepper

½ teaspoon of garlic powder

½ teaspoon of dried thyme

½ teaspoon of basil

1 tablespoon of mayo

1 cup of onion chopped

4 hoagie rolls

You can also add:

Green or red bell peppers

Mushrooms

JalapeƱos (for those that like it hot)

Directions:

1. Finely chop up Meat and veggies.

2. Heat olive oil and butter into the pan (waiting for the butter to melt). Place the onions (and other veggies) along with the seasonings into pan. Cook the veggies for about 3 minutes. Place the thinly cut steak into pan as the meat starts to brown, add the ranch. When the meat is fully cooked add the cheese.

3. While the cheese melts, split the hoagie rolls in half and put a thin layer of mayo.

4. Place meat and veggies inside the roll, once you finish, put 2 slices of American cheese on top and place it into the broiler until melted.

5. Ready to serve! Note: I also like to add hot sauce; it really kicks it up a notch!! ;-)
